The valley runs for approximately 130 kilometers in an eastwest direction. • Vinification: Mechanical harvest. Grapes are 100% destemmed, with only 2 hours of press maceration, pressing without cut. Fermentation in stainless steel at temperatures of approximately 12 °C. • Soil: Soil types in the Breede River Valley are varied. Surrounding the river, they are mainly alluvial, with some sandy loam in the Breedekloof area. Higher in the mountains, they are more rocky and stony.
